Spelling Errors

A: In this instance, you could be using outdated software or an outdated browser that is causing difficulty. But, the most likely cause is simply mis-typing the address. The above message was caused because the address was entered as:

future-world.com/cig-bin/catalog/12345

instead of

future-world.com/cgi-bin/catalog/12345

Computers are rather particular. They do require PERFECT spelling, without exception.

Naturally, you'll be substituting the number 12345, in the above example, with your own, unique 5-digit Comm number.

The old, "htm" addresses, such as future-world.com/12345.htm will be phased out entirely by April 1, 1999. If you have used any of the "htm"-style addresses in any of your advertising, you'll want to convert to the slightly longer, but much more powerful "catalog" or "mall" address formats:

future-world.com/cgi-bin/catalog/12345

future-world.com/cgi-bin/mall/12345

(Remember to replace 12345 with your own Comm number)

All the new features and expanded product inventories will be added only to these "cgi-based" addresses. So, if you're not already using them, it is important to convert to this URL address format as quickly as possible.
