Future World Direct Product Linking

The new direct "product" software module gives you the ability to link to an individual product within the Future World showroom from a home page that you have created for yourself.
Many Comms now have their own home page. And, since these self-created Web pages first appeared, Comms have been asking for a way to discuss a particular product and then offer a “Click Here” link that would bypass the Future World showroom Main Page and take a visitor directly to the product page, with an illustration, a complete description and the ability to order with a single click on the shopping cart icon.
The new direct "product" software makes this possible. It is so simple to use that you would never guess how many hundreds of hours of programming research were required to develop it. The important thing is that it works perfectly with Netscape 3.x and higher and Internet Explorer 3.x or higher. (WebTV and AOL proprietary browsers are not supported for this or most of the other features on your web sites, including the shopping cart. So, be sure to upgrade to IE or Netscape before trying “DIRECT”.)
To access a particular page on your site directly, with full credit use the following format:
future-world.com/cgi-bin/product/XXXXX/YYY
(Where XXXXX is your 5-digit Comm number and YYY is a 3- or 4-digit product number. Let’s say that you want to access the Subliminal Pictography (item #271) product page (with credit) directly from your browser, and let’s also say that your Comm number, is 12345. Then, you would simply type the following URL address into the Address or Go To Line of your browser:
future-world.com/cgi-bin/product/12345/271
You will almost instantly be taken to the
Subliminal Pictography product page. This may not seem all that spectacular.
But, something important has happened here. “product” has also accessed Site-Lock™ and Credit-Allocator™ and notified the system that and purchases this visitor makes should be credited to Comm 12345.
Try it with your Comm number (not 12345, or course ) and watch what happens. The Subliminal Pictography page loads normally. But, when you click on “Return to Main Page” you are taken to your Personalized Future World showroom site. And it you click on shopping cart icon and actually process an order, your Comm number appears as part of the Invoice number – assuring that you receive credit for the transaction.
So, for the first time, you can design home pages that list as many products as you wish and give your customers a direct link to their catalog pages with full credit. If one of your customers chooses to visit other pages are catalogs, any additional purchases of products anywhere in your site will also be credited to you, just as if your customer entered your site through your Main page.
Just for clarification, here is the syntax for a link to item #271 using “product” from within your own HTML page:

Substitute your own 5-digit Comm number for 12345 and any 3-digit or 4-digit product number for 271 to create an instant link to any product in your Future World Showroom for full credit.
The words “Click Here”, in the above example, can also changed to any word or group of words that you prefer. And, if you know how to create hyperlinks to images, “product” will also accept image links directly to product categories.
"CATEGORY" software does for catagories what "product" does for individual products.

Let’s say that you want to access the Subliminal products category (with credit) directly from your browser, and let’s also say that your Comm number, is 12345. How do you know actual names of the individual category pages? It's easy. Just visit your showroom page, click on a category and look for the category name in ADDRESS LINE of your browser. All categories end in the letters: "cat". At this writing the currently available categories are listed below. New categories may be added after this article was written. And, you can use this technique to find the names of the new categories and link to them automatically using the "CATEGORY" software tool.
